One hour TV Film the Ranakpur Jain Temple
... "PILLARS OF PERFECTION" Available on DVD ! Contact globalfilmlinks@earthlink.net
How many people have had the patience to produce this extraordinary film on the Ranakpur Jain Temple focusing on the title PILLARS OF PERFECTION ? It involved a great deal of R & D, two trips to India and the major location in the village of Ranakpur.
Another alternative way to bring in budget funds for "JAIN ENLIGHTENMENT - A Way of Life," we are producing a 6-package deal of one hour digital videofilms for sale on DVDs on the following subjects: "The Legend of Lord Bahubali," "King Adinathan - the 1st Jain Tirthankar," "The Story of Lord Mahavir - the 24th and last Jain Tirthankar," "Sacred Pilgrimage to Palitana," and "Artistic Sculptures, Jain Paintings and Temple Architecture."
There is no other way to produce the feature film: JAIN ENLIGHTENMENT - A Way of Life, exclusively for Americans and worldwide TV viewers.
Our Japanese R & D consultant, Architect Takeo Kamiya has written and published extensively on Jain temple architecture in great detail: http://kamit.jp/engl.htm http://ne.jp/asahi/arc/ind/engl.htm
"the charm of the Temple at Ranakpur ... " struck him as the most greatest masterpiece ... "The beauty of this temple is indeed beyond verbal description (you have to see it to believe its magnificence !). ..I visited this temple three times in nine year intervals ...
"It is a blissful combination of architectures, sculpture and crafts, sequential space abounding in variety, immaculacy of white all over, continuing halls covered by high raised domical ceilings, full of extremely minute carvings, that remind us of the "Pure Land".
"It is as if J.S. Bach's "The Art of Fugue" is crystallized into white marble ... I have never experienced such a luxurious space at any other site in India ... "
"Deepaka, the architect must have been a genius in designing the temple. It is hard to believe that this magnificently huge edifice was constructed with such precision and great unification by mere combination of craftsmen. Without a firm concept and aesthetic architectural sense, this kind of masterpiece could never have been conceived !"
This also says much about Jain cosmology and scientific way of life ...
